What is a 4K camera module?
4K camera module generally refers to a module made of a chip with a resolution of 3840*2160 and an aspect ratio of 16:9. Under this standard, CMOS progressive scanning can reach 2160P. The high-definition camera module using a 4K chip has more accurate picture quality and picture detail level, and the display is clearer, cleaner and more delicate, and gives people a more immersive feeling, which can effectively solve the monitoring needs of places that require high-definition picture quality and complex lighting.
Fetures of 4K camera module
First of all, the most obvious performance of 4K technology is that the improvement of its display resolution makes the picture more refined.
There are two important key factors affecting the fineness of the picture, one is the pixels of the picture, and the other is the vertical resolution of the picture. The higher the pixels of the picture, the finer the pixels on the same size picture, and the smaller the lattice. And because the human eye is quite sensitive to the vertical resolution of the image, the higher the vertical resolution, the more details and levels the human eye can recognize.
What 4K technology can achieve in the field of surveillance is to increase the vertical resolution of the picture while increasing the pixels, making the details and levels of the picture more accurate.
Secondly, the enhancement of colour levels and details makes the picture closer to real life.
The transition from standard definition to a high-definition display system is actually mainly an upgrade in resolution, and there is no obvious improvement in colour. However, in the era of 4K ultra-high definition, in addition to the leap in resolution, the changes in colour are particularly noticeable. This part is reflected in the latest BT.2020 ultra-high-definition broadcast standard promulgated by ITU-R.
Finally, 4K video systems deal with 10-bit, or even 12-bit encoded video signals.
At this stage, HD or full HD systems usually use 8-bit video systems, while 4K UHD uses 10-bit or even 12-bit video systems. Therefore, both the grey level transition and the level performance of colour depth are greatly improved compared to the high-definition system.
