Wide Angle Camera Module
What is a wide-angle camera module?
The wide-angle camera module refers to the angle degrees of a fan-shaped angle with the camera lens as the center point from the lower end to the upper end of the camera's illumination range, that is, the angle of the lens. The visible range is smaller.
Cameras that are capable of capturing up to 80 degrees field of view (FOV) are commonly regarded as wide-angle security cameras. Super wide-angle security cameras could cover up to 180 degrees or higher. Ultra wide-angle surveillance cameras (CCTV or IP) could boast 360 degrees.
Benefit of the wide-angle camera module
The wide-angle lens has the advantages of short focal length and a large angle of view. It can shoot a wide range of scenes at a relatively short distance, with a prominent foreground and a significantly larger depth of field range than standard and telephoto lenses, and the screen has a strong sense of depth. It is suitable for indoor close-up shooting and shooting scenes such as mountains and rivers, buildings, and crowds.
Characteristics of the wide-angle camera module
1. The lens has a large viewing angle and a wide field of view. The scope of the scene observed from a certain viewpoint is much larger than that seen by the human eye at the same viewpoint;
2. The depth of field is long, which can ensure that the front and rear scenes of the subject can be clearly reproduced on the screen.
3. The coverage area of the lens is large, and the range of shooting scenes is wide.
4. The scene shot at the same shooting distance is smaller than the scene shot with the standard lens.
